Assault Class Guide

Role: Frontline infantry

Signature Weapons: Assault rifles (AK74, M4, FAL)

What the Assault Track Does

Assault is the ground-pounding backbone of every WARDOGS team. The track revolves around assault rifles and the discipline of fighting on foot inside the Control Zone: taking ground, holding buildings, and deciding close-to-mid range fights while Support and Engineer shape the battlefield around you. If you are new to large-scale shooters, this is the track the game teaches you first.

Signature Weapons and Unlocks

The Assault arsenal is rifle-first. The free starter rifles (A-91, Bushmaster M17S, KH-2002) share core stats and cost nothing to replace, which makes them the safest way to learn the cash economy. The AK74 is the first rifle most players buy at $1,600, the M4 at $2,800 trades money for a slightly faster fire rate, and the track's crown jewel is the FAL — a $6,500 .308 rifle that unlocks at Assault Level 35 and hits for 60 base damage at 650 RPM.

💡 The FAL costs roughly two thirds of your $10,000 starting balance. Rent the idea before you buy it: run the AK74 until you routinely survive long enough to justify the price tag.

How to Play Assault

Fight inside your squad's sphere of influence. Assault lives or dies by the revive: pushing one building ahead of your squad turns a lost rifle into a lost spawn ticket economy. Smoke your crossings, fight from cover that Engineer can reinforce, and re-position after every elimination — standing still near a captured objective makes you free XP for Recon players three hills away.

Progression Priorities

Early levels go to the rifle you actually die with, not the one that looks best on paper. Community consensus after the first EA week: level the track until your rifle slots are comfortable, then invest the savings in armor — Level 3 body armor runs $2,000 and survives exactly the kind of fights Assault walks into. The Level 35 FAL unlock is the long-term goal; it changes how you build every loadout.
